Shop policies

We ship across Canada. No shipping outside Canada for now.

Standard shipping: $12 per order, free from $75 of purchases before tax. Express shipping: $20.

Pickup at the pub: free, at 1430 rue de l'Académie, Val-David, during opening hours. Your order is usually ready in 24 hours.

From 1 to 26 November inclusive, the pub and auberge are closed: no pickup on those dates. Postal orders keep shipping.

Tuques are on pre-order. They ship as soon as they reach us. You can cancel a pre-order any time before it ships.

Taxes (GST and QST, or HST, depending on the province you ship to) are calculated and shown before you pay. Pickup is taxed as a sale in Quebec.

If something doesn't fit or arrives damaged, we exchange it or refund it.

Write to info@mactaverne.ca within 30 days, with the name and email used for the order.

Items come back unworn, unwashed, with the tag on. Return shipping is on you, unless the mistake was ours or the item is defective.

Refunds go back to the payment method you used.

Pre-orders can be cancelled any time before they ship.

These rules add to your rights under Quebec's Consumer Protection Act. They don't replace them.

We keep your name, address, email and order details to process your order and write to you about it.

Payment is handled by Stripe, on its secure page. Your card details go straight to Stripe: we don't see them and we don't keep them.

Nothing is sold. Your information is shared only with Stripe (payment), the carrier (delivery) and the technical services that run the shop. Some of those services may store information outside Quebec.

Prices are in Canadian dollars, taxes extra (GST 70524 7625 RT0001, QST 1232640185 TQ0001). Taxes are calculated for the province you ship to and shown before you pay.

An order is confirmed at payment.
